A Mother’s love
By Jessica Dixon
A mother’s love can only be felt not explained.
A mother’s love is unconditional. As we grow older we tend to realize that as we were children we didn’t appreciate our moms as much as we do now.
Not everyone gets the blessing of being a mom. I myself am struggling to have a baby and having lost a baby, I know how hard it is and how much pain you feel during these times.
I recently however, became an aunt and I must say that watching my little sister carry my nephew, birth him and watch her carry on the traits she learned from my grandmother and mother is such a blessing.
For those mothers whom have lost a child and Mother’s day is a very hard day for you, know that our children are watching us from above and sending us lots of hugs and kisses.
Take the time and celebrate each child that you have now whether it be your nephews, nieces, godchildren, little cousins, or whichever child touches your heart. Know that God has placed these children in your life for a reason and they need you.
For those of us who are still blessed to have our moms, let us thank God every day for them and not just Mother’s day as they are such a huge blessing in our lives. We wouldn’t be who we are today without them.
For those of you who have lost your mothers and this holiday is especially hard for you, know that they are smiling down on you and may God give you the peace that you need to get through this day.
Happy Mother’s Day!
