Be a Prayer Warrior

Be a Prayer Warrior

By Reece’s Rainbow

Matthew 17:20 “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you”

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective”

The Reece’s Rainbow Down Syndrome Adoption Grant Foundation was created on the principles of Christianity and the teachings of Jesus. His command to “defend the cause of the weak and fatherless” is our primary purpose and foundation. He also teaches us that prayer is a key part of our faith, that it is powerful and effective, and that our prayers are HEARD.

Matthew 17:20 “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you”

prayerwarrior1Through our Waiting Child and Family Sponsorship Grant Programs, Reece’s Rainbow provides a very personal and meaningful way to change the course of a child’s life. Individuals can watch the progress of that child as their family goes through each stage of the adoption process, and finally, through the family blog after they are home. But many people who love these orphaned children and passionately support this organization are not in a position to adopt a child at this time.

Some are not even in a position to sponsor them financially. But prayer is FREE and can be even more powerful than an adoption grant in finding an adoptive family, helping with fundraising, and seeking God’s favor in the health and well-being of each child as they wait “at the end of Reece’s Rainbow” for their forever family.

Family Sponsorship Program

EXCERPT from Family Sponsorship Program

In addition to our very successful “waiting child grant” program for international orphans, Reece’s Rainbow, as a 501c3 adoption grant and advocacy foundation, also provides an opportunity for committed families to continue their fundraising efforts through our Family Sponsorship Program (FSP).

“Fundraising” is a verb, which means an “action word”, which means hard work is required!   prayerwarriorbookmarkYour fundraising success in our FSP program directly correlates to your own efforts!  Rarely does full funding just “fall in your lap”.  God expects you to do your part!   Donations from friends, family, church, colleagues, etc are tax deductible and are made to your FSP fund on behalf of the child.

Having funds already saved up is a great way to start.  But yard sales, Pampered Chef parties, restaurant nights, church fundraisers, and social media campaigns are all great ways to encourage donations.    Our Facebook Group is a great place to get other ideas as well.  Once your home study is complete, you should be prepared to apply to multiple grant and loan foundations to meet your funding needs.

Funds from our grants are available to you after you have been invited to travel by the foreign officials, and are exclusively available for international adoptions.  Qualified uses for these funds would be airfare, agency fees due at that time, in country expenses, and other related expenses.

Funds are NOT available to help with upfront costs such as home study, USCIS, notary/apostille, mailing, translation, dossier submission, initial agency fees, etc. Continue reading full article >>>

World Prayr has chosen to be different, starting with teaching others that the pilgrimage all those who have been brought near to God are on is not one about our focusing on what we are doing, or focusing on our sin or anything we are not doing, but focusing on what Christ did in order for us to know transforming grace. We refer to this message as the gospel of grace. We then live this out as a ministry by serving others through counseling, prayer, and sound biblical teachings.

We also differ from most ministries in another key area, working to live out the message of Philippians 2:4 by aggressively promoting other ministries and churches. As a mission team, World Prayr is working to serve those who are disconnected to reconnect them, one soul at a time, to local bodies of believers.

We refer to our team as an “Ohana” made up of many nationalities spread across the globe and within the Protestant faith.
