Fighting the Frustration

The last few weeks were not quite easy weeks for me. Problem with heavy workloads, problem at home, problem in my personal ministry, problem to manage my time in other ministries, including World Prayr too, all of those made constant frustration in my life.

The problem with me as a perfectionist person is I want to do all greatly. I want to do as much as I can. It is not a problem at all when I don’t get frustration. However, it becomes a big problem when I become frustration.

The frustration froze me. Somehow I became mentally cripple at that time. I couldn’t think straightly and couldn’t do as much as I want. In the end, it multiplied my frustration.

Are those descriptions familiar to you? Does having problem with work, personal relationship, ministry, etc. cripple you? Well, I don’t know for sure, but I guess you are not alone. I believe some people have same problem with you, at least I do LOL!

However, I have a good news for you! It is a good news for me too, LOL! Praise the Lord, since He said that:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 NIV)

He wants to give us rest. When I was so frustrated few days ago, I cried to Him. I told Him that I couldn’t stand it anymore, that I was so tired. You know what happened next? After I told Him so, I felt His consolation surrounding me.

When you become frustration, come to Jesus. He knows what you have been through. He loves you. He wants to give you rest, if you let Him. Call on His name, invite Him into your life, and your life will never be the same anymore.

Jesus, how sweet is the name! He gave me strength to overcome my frustration. Although life is not so easy and I know that in the future, big chances that I will face the frustration again. However, I know that I have never been alone since He is with me all the way.

If you are facing the similar frustration as I was, will you call on His name?

World Prayr has chosen to be different, starting with teaching others that the pilgrimage all those who have been brought near to God are on is not one about our focusing on what we are doing, or focusing on our sin or anything we are not doing, but focusing on what Christ did in order for us to know transforming grace. We refer to this message as the gospel of grace. We then live this out as a ministry by serving others through counseling, prayer, and sound biblical teachings.

We also differ from most ministries in another key area, working to live out the message of Philippians 2:4 by aggressively promoting other ministries and churches. As a mission team, World Prayr is working to serve those who are disconnected to reconnect them, one soul at a time, to local bodies of believers.

We refer to our team as an “Ohana” made up of many nationalities spread across the globe and within the Protestant faith.
