“For the LORD sees not as man sees.”
By Yohana Ekky
Man usually thinks that if his life becomes easy, everything will be beautiful. That’s the way man sees beauty.
However, the way God sees beauty is just like seeing a scenery.
A beautiful scenery looks really beautiful when it is not flat but grooved. Look at those beautiful sceneries in the world. Are they flat? No. They have grooves. Even great grooves.
See? It’s simple to explain this.
God sees not as man sees. Our vision is limited, that is why we need to see from His eyes which see everything clearly in a beautiful way.
When we do, we certainly see everything as beautiful things, even when we are passing through the darkest valley, because beyond it, there is a glorious scenery of peace and joy from God.
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.”
