How can I know God’s will for my life? Audio

This is the question of the decades. Even those who have been saved for a long time, still ask this question. It seems as though the answer is often out of reach.

Often, when we ask this question we are not looking for God’s will, but for God to be a fortune teller. For surely God knows the future and if He will tell us, our lives will be better, easier, smoother, and more comfortable and we will fail less.

The In-Between

By Christie Lambert

I gave an entire afternoon and evening to baking in preparation for our Thanksgiving festivities. After thumbing through a favorite cookbook and a glossy holiday magazine, I set my sights on making four chocolate pies in the variety of chess and marshmallow, brown sugar cupcakes, dark chocolate brownie cupcakes, fluffy caramel and peanut butter frostings to top it all. Looking back, maybe it was a little overboard, but I’d been asked to bring desserts to the meals and far be it from me to not fully commit to a dessert menu.

Standing On The shoulders Of The Fathers – 11

Theology is broken into two greek words, theos (God) and logos (Word). So then basically theology is the study of a “word about God” or God’s Word or God. You cannot separate the two. Many today will decry the study of doctrine or forming a belief system or knowledge about what and why one believes what they believe about God’s Word.

Claiming all you need are the red letters, or love, or the Bible is forgetting some important truths. Those same red letters, that same Bible says that because of love we should “be aware of false teachers.

How to Find More Joy This Christmas

By Tricia Goyer

Does the thought of Christmas stress you out? Are you more focused on your to-do list than the true meaning of the season? Do you stay up at night worrying about how you’re going to do it all?

I spent many years doing exactly like that. The thought of Christmas brought dread, not joy. Then one year I decided to make a change. What’s the use of spending hours baking when I was cranky with my family? What was the point of attending tons of holiday events when I didn’t have time to celebrate simple, holiday traditions?

His Timing

My Daughter,

My plan for your life does not have an expiration date, but it does unfold in My perfect timing. If you move ahead of Me, you will feel lost. If you stay behind, you will feel left out. But if you stay close to Me, you will move to the timing of my heartbeat. I know the plans I have for you, and they will come to pass. Right now, I have appointed you to love whoever is in front of you and meet the needs of those I have entrusted to your care. As you begin to be faithful with the little things, I will begin to give you the bigger things I planned for you all along. Now, My beloved, is the time to ask Me to use you in someone’s life today.

Take a Break and Give One Too.

by Joseph Franks

Today, there will be many times when we are put in a position to make assumptions or judgments regarding other people.

  • Judges and juries must discern between intentional malice and unintented negligence. They must distinguish between manslaughter and murder.
  • Employers and managers must search out whether those under their direction are lacking in ethics, motivation, or skill. This determination will affect their response to undesired behavior.

World Prayr has chosen to be different, starting with teaching others that the pilgrimage all those who have been brought near to God are on is not one about our focusing on what we are doing, or focusing on our sin or anything we are not doing, but focusing on what Christ did in order for us to know transforming grace. We refer to this message as the gospel of grace. We then live this out as a ministry by serving others through counseling, prayer, and sound biblical teachings.

We also differ from most ministries in another key area, working to live out the message of Philippians 2:4 by aggressively promoting other ministries and churches. As a mission team, World Prayr is working to serve those who are disconnected to reconnect them, one soul at a time, to local bodies of believers.

We refer to our team as an “Ohana” made up of many nationalities spread across the globe and within the Protestant faith.
