What is easy or cheap grace?

heart-700141_640

Enjoy this excerpt from Walking in God’s Grace…

One often hears about “easy or cheap grace” from those who say, “If you preach grace without a focus on how we should be obedient or holy then you cheapen God’s grace.” Perhaps this may not be what you hear, maybe it will sound something like this “If you are always preaching grace you may give those listening the feeling they can go on sinning and thus make grace easy or cheap.”

Prayer-Full

THE_LORD__S_PRAYER_by_navalatanjjnn-300x225By Arlene Wallis

Throughout the week, my extended family conducts a family prayer ministry.  This is a valuable time for all of us to come together and enjoy each other, share the word of God, pray for our family and others and catch up on events.  We are not all centrally located so this is a time that is that has become very important to me since I have recently re-connected with my family after being separated for over 20 years.

Book Review – Walking In God’s Grace

1finby Mark Luker

“Grace is the Miracle-Gro ® upon which the seed of grace is given birth and grows to maturity.” – Pat Badstibner, World Prayr founder

Just finished reading what could possibly be one of the most important books I’ve ever read – other than the holy bible.

There have been many books written about Grace and what it means. There have been even more books written about how important Grace is to each of us. However, this is the first book I have read where all the questions about Grace that I have had most of my life have been addressed!

Because Of YOU

profile-488477_640By Elsie J Ruiz

TO MY ALMIGHTY FATHER…
“THANK YOU FATHER FOR REMINDING ME
THAT YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE.
NO MATTER WHAT I GO THROUGH OR
STRUGGLE WITH,
NO MATTER THE PAIN OR THE HURT,
YOU REMIND ME THAT YOU ARE THERE.”

IF I DO NOT CRUMBLE,
IT’S BECAUSE OF YOU.

Parenting as My Bow Is Bent

I read a lot of parenting articles. I don’t mean to. But someone posts this, I come across that, and suddenly I feel overwhelmed at all the things I’m supposed to do or not do. Be or not be. Threats or promises like, “If you do this, your child will turn out like X” (followed by an article with the exact opposite advice).

Because I’m a rule follower and want to do things the “right” way, it can feel like I’m drowning in a sea of advice I don’t know how to take…

Generosity Generates A Return – Always

statue-70819_640-2By Patrick Badstibner

There is much said about our need for works and our need to live out our Salvation. In fact, the process of God transforming us from sin loving, God hating people to sin hating, God loving saints is a process known as sanctification, which is the ongoing act of our salvation. World Prayr believes so much in this that we do not take volunteers, only servants of God. Yet, it is not a focus on the law that invites such outward change, but a focus on how the law crushed and pressed on us and left us gasping for the air of grace.

World Prayr has chosen to be different, starting with teaching others that the pilgrimage all of those who have been brought near to God are on is not one that is about our focusing on what we are doing, or focusing on our sin or anything we are not doing, but rather focusing on what Christ did in order for us to know transforming grace. We refer to this message as the gospel of grace. We then live this out as a ministry by serving others through counseling, prayer and sound biblical teachings.

We, also, differ from most ministries in another key area and that is working to live out the message of Philippians 2:4, by aggressively promoting other ministries and churches. As a mission team World Prayr is working to serve those who are disconnected and re-connecting them, one soul at a time to local bodies of believers.

We refer to our team as an “Ohana” which is made up of many nationalities spread across the globe and within the Protestant faith.
