What We Believe About Prayer

pray-442560_640

Prayer is indeed the ultimate privilege of the believer. It is the deepest blessing in being able to have a relationship with God and to find our enjoyment in worshiping Him. Because it is an intentional part of our relationship, there is no secret formula or right or wrong way, thus it is the freedom we are now given.

We should come to God in prayer with a heart of gratitude and humility, recognizing that He indeed is God

Blackmailed

Jesus-sets-us-free-700x593By Lisa Buffaloe

We’re being blackmailed, every single one of us. Satan, instigator and deceiver, sets us up to fall, then stands by with virtual camera in hand to capture images. He whispers, shouts, and screams our failures.

We know we should take every thought captive, but the problem comes when we believe Satan’s lie that we deserve to endlessly suffer.

I’ve written on taking thoughts captive, demolishing strongholds, and healing memories. I want to go deeper…

The Stench of Human Sweat

Sweat

Last week I experienced a tempest in a teapot, and I failed to weather the storm with grace. On Monday afternoon, I discovered that my blog’s subscription sign-up form was broken. It accepted the entry of an email address; everything looked fine. Except it didn’t actually update the subscription files. So I began a sweaty scramble to fix it.

I worked from 3:30 Monday afternoon until about 9:30 that evening. At that point, the tiny-tempest sank my site: everything stopped working. I went to bed….

I Am Born Again

praisegodBy Pat Thacker

Praise God I am, and I want to leave a “huge dent” in this world when I leave here! I want everybody to know that I dearly loved Jesus and that he meant everything to me.

I can remember when I first got saved, it was so exciting and I wanted others to know. I wrote letters to all of my friends and family members about Jesus. I just knew they would be excited and want him in their lives too, but no it didn’t happen that way…

Can I get more of God’s grace?

barrier-775975_640

Enjoy this excerpt from Walking in God’s Grace…

This question may or may not seem to be from an attitude that brings another question, which is “As I grow in my walk of grace and I become more obedient to God or holy (More like God), will God give me more grace?”

Paul said in, Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” (ESV)…

On Fishing and Making Disciples

6052390919_4054464492_zBy Allan R. Bevere

My uncle taught me to fish when I was twelve-years-old. I offer no pun intended, but the first time we went together I was hooked. Fishing has been a hobby of mine for the forty years since.

When I bought my first tackle box, I started buying tackle (necessary gear) and fishing lures. I bought all kinds of different lures recommended by “experts” in fishing magazines. I bought some simple lures, but the ones I concentrated on were the lures that offered all the “bells and whistles.”

World Prayr has chosen to be different, starting with teaching others that the pilgrimage all of those who have been brought near to God are on is not one that is about our focusing on what we are doing, or focusing on our sin or anything we are not doing, but rather focusing on what Christ did in order for us to know transforming grace. We refer to this message as the gospel of grace. We then live this out as a ministry by serving others through counseling, prayer and sound biblical teachings.

We, also, differ from most ministries in another key area and that is working to live out the message of Philippians 2:4, by aggressively promoting other ministries and churches. As a mission team World Prayr is working to serve those who are disconnected and re-connecting them, one soul at a time to local bodies of believers.

We refer to our team as an “Ohana” which is made up of many nationalities spread across the globe and within the Protestant faith.
