Sunday Collectives 7/13/15 – 7/19/15
We, at World Prayr, pray that just as you believe that God used His mighty POWER “In the Beginning…”; you also BELIEVE that by GRACE He used His mighty POWER to, forever, wash away our sins, when Jesus on the cross said, “IT IS FINISHED”. Be blessed by this powerful book, “Walking in God’s Grace….Practical Answers to Tough Questions”

There seems to be countless Bible reading plans, books on the best ways to read the Bible and thousands of devotionals to guide us through such an endeavor.

We don’t need another list to complete or another three-step program to a happier life. We don’t need new kids by Friday or new husbands by Wednesday.
What we need is to hear that Christ has set us free from relying on anything other than himself! He has set us free from the burdens we are carrying. He takes the load off and calls us to rest.

Ps 119:2 says..Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart.
A father cares more about who you are then what you do. I feel like this is a lesson that I am still learning. I had a youth pastor one time teach me this concept. I was wanting to be on his staff for youth. Which I loved working with youth and I loved serving. I remember sitting in his office as he told me no. I felt crushed. What did I do wrong?
The Holy Spirit is not an essence or an entity. He is a person just like the rest of the Trinity. Scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit is indeed God. He is the agent for impartation of the new life we now have in Jesus Christ. It is through the Holy Spirit that we find that the gift of salvation is applied and secured to each of those who have placed their faith in the sacrificial payment of Christ.
In the book of Acts Peter tells Ananias that Satan had filled his heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and that he had not lied to man, but to God…

“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles,
7 to open eyes that are blind,
to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
8 “I am the Lord; that is my name!” – Isaiah 42:6-8 (NIV)
I was reading today again in Matthew. I say “again” because it was in Matthew 27 which is part of what we have just been hearing during Easter time, the Passion of Christ. But today I was struck again by Jesus’ cry of despair from the Cross, “Why did You abandon me, God?”
Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. – Colossians 3:13
Addicted To Love
Forgiveness only happens when God’s love so overwhelms us that it causes us to love others with the same love that He loves us with. In order for that to happen, the focus has to shift from their sins to a focus that reveals glaringly that the greatest sin, the greatest ill, is found within us personally, not without and that is always costly for it forces us to swallow with big gulps, our pride.
