I wonder how much of my life has been wasted living as if I’m waiting. There’s always something that’s not quite right or not quite complete in life. There’s the major milestones: a spouse, a job, a child. And then there are the little things that we tuck in our minds: “If I could just get this; complete that; change this, then I’ll be happy. Then I’ll be on track.”
But completion, perfection and material attainment are illusive and in a never-ending game of one-upsmanship.

As we examine ourselves daily, we have to look at who we are and how we appear to GOD. Are we spiritually and physically attractive to HIM? Do we please HIM?
Often times the world places MUCH emphasis on physical attraction and we cater to this specific mindset.
The first thing we see in the opposite gender is the attractiveness if we are in pursuit of that, but someone’s face is not an accurate representation of their heart.
*A recycled post from sometime last year.*
It was one of those mornings… Justin was gone, my six year old and nine year old woke up sick, my two year old woke up cranky from a late night and my four year old just wanted to sit on me. I stuck my older two in my bed and turned on Fraggle Rock but they didn’t want me to leave.
Do you ever feel ill-equipped to handle the circumstances or people in your life? Do you wonder if you’ll make it through the next trial or difficulty?
I have good news, very good news! If you are a Jesus follower, whatever has happened in your life, whatever you face, God has equipped you. You are never without what you need to recover or to move forward. Since God is here now and will be with you on every step of the journey, His provision is already there to equip you for each and every need and challenge.
Colossians 3:14-16 (TNIV)
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

There are many references in the Bible to faith. Did you know that we exercise faith every day, even if we are are not Christian believers? We expect the sun to rise in the East and set in the west, we have faith when sitting down, that the chair will hold our weight and we have faith that when we go to the mall, there will be items for sale. Whether or not we can afford what we want is a separate issue.
