The story behind my serving the Lord through World Prayr is rather amazing.
One day I just happened to be browsing the internet. I remember posting thoughts on my facebook wall when I began to feel like I was not doing enough for the Lord.
So I prayed for the Lord to increase my service to Him. I had no idea how He had planned to do it, but anything He assigned me to do would be awesome and amazing. And indeed it was… He led me to a post from World Prayr stating that if if anyone was interested in serving our Lord God, Praying and helping others around the world to send an email. So I went for it and received a very prompt response.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
God created each of us different and unique. We somehow try so hard to fit in that we forget at times who we are.
As we grow up we notice different things about ourselves. It could be the way we write or the way we speak or walk.
As we meet new friends we realize that they aren’t the same as us, so we try our hardest to fit in with them. But don’t you know God loves you enough that He made you unique and wants you to be you not someone else.

“Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked” Psalms 82:3-4
In every man God has placed the desire to protect and preserve. This is a gift. It is the core of what a man is. It began when God commanded Adam to subdue and rule the earth, because God himself is a keeper of the earth and all that dwells here. To subdue and rule did not mean to dominate, but to reign with God with loving kindness, to use Godly wisdom, loving grace and mercy, to embrace the good, and subdue the evil. In a man’s heart is the fierceness of the Father’s heart to protect the ones he loves. To preserve the precious communion he has with those that are his to love.

What happens as an author writes a novel? Don’t you love hearing the “Story behind the story?”
Today, I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes peek at my latest book, “The Promise Box.”
Where did your inspiration for The Promise Box spark?
I’m a person who journals many times a week, and I always wonder what my kids will think when they come across those journals some day. I share favorite Scriptures, prayers, worries, needs, hopes, and ideas. It’s quite a collection!
My kids know me as Mom, but I have a feeling they’ll know me on even a deeper level when they read what I’ve written just for myself—things I don’t easily share. I also wonder if the things I write will some day impact the spiritual lives of those who follow.
God has many attributes.
One of God’s most important qualities is He can forgive mankind.
This video helps to explain three of the motives
or reasons God can and will forgive man.
“…do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself…” – Jesus
“One of the things I like about jazz, kid, is I don’t know what’s going to happen next. Do you?” – Bix Beiderbecke
If I sit in one of the red plastic Adirondack chairs in my front yard as they are now, I will look Venus full in the face following dusk and Saturn will be on my left shoulder sitting. The cicadas and frogs will sing his praises and walkers will wave.
My favorite time of the year though is when the air is almost too cool. The stars are brightest then and there are no mosquitos to swat away. There are fewer walkers and the cicadas are silent as the grave. The trains can be heard in the valley below our mountain and they sound like all the lives I have sometimes wondered if I should have lived.
