It is such a beautiful time of the year!. Trees and grass are beginning to turn green, red buds and dogwoods are blooming in the midst of a forest of bare limbs, and the crocus are pushing their way above ground to share their beautiful, purple blooms with the sun.
Awesome God, Who created all that we enjoy and appreciate in this world of trials and triumph. In the middle of a changing world, dealing with great tragedies and sorrows; with great victories and even natural disasters and great loss, there is the hope of a better tomorrow.
As we bask in the early morning sun and gentle breeze, and sense the emerging of a new day, a renewed earth, those of us who have met the Savior are reminded of the Hope we have in Him. Jesus came into a world filled with sin, hopelessness and chaos to bring the only way that would free us to live this life with joy and victory…..the Cross at Calvary.
At the Cross, He laid down His life that those who would choose to believe in Him and love Him by keeping His commandments, might be set free from the chains of sin and be reconciled with the Father, who created us to have fellowship with Him. He gave His all, that we might have all Hope and confidence in His Perfect Sacrifice. Hope and confidence in the Blood that covered all of our sins and washed us clean, making the way for Him to live in us and through us and cause us to bloom in the midst of a dark, and dying world.
When they laid His body in that borrowed tomb, the world was dark and gloomy. His followers were filled with fear, and disappointment. Their hopes were gone and they were filled with despair. But then, on the third day, everything changed! The Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus, was raised from the dead unto Life!
And here is our Blessed Hope: “If the same Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.” Romans 8:11
So, in the midst of a world filled with chaos, and the emptiness created by sin, we have hope of eternal life with the Creator of the universe. We witness the blooming of love and grace all around us and know that one Day, we will spring forth as joint heirs with Jesus unto eternal life.
“The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18
Enjoy the blessings of the Resurrected Christ, Jesus, our Savior!
