We aren’t perfect
By Jessica Dixon
Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
We aren’t perfect and God knows this.
He doesn’t want us to be, after all, He created us imperfectly.
So the fact that we were created imperfect means that we will make mistakes, we will fall down and we will hurt.
However just because we fall down, just because we make mistakes and just because we hurt, doesn’t mean God doesn’t love us.
He loves us so much that He died to know us. We are imperfect people loved by a perfect God.
God knew the mistakes you were going to make before you even made them. He has planned every single detail of your life by the moment and He carries all of your tears in His hands.
It is okay to make mistakes and fall down as long as you learn by each mistake and when you do fall down, that you rely on God’s strength to get back up.
Don’t ever try to do anything on your own. He wants you to depend and count on Him. He knows we can’t get through these things alone and He wants to be there.
SO, take a deep breath and say, “God, you take over”, then…stop worrying and stop being so hard on yourself.
