What We Believe About Repentance

What We Believe About Repentance

Within every major Church or ministry are founding and guiding principles based on the word of God. These principles, or, as some would say, doctrinal statements, are the guiding statements for that church or organization. It is the same with World Prayr; these statements reflect the cornerstone upon which World Prayr has been built…

Repentance means to change one’s mind. It is a change of mind about God, His ways, or living life in the light of God’s Word. This change of mind usually results in a change of direction, in the way we may be living.

By stating “usually,” we mean as it may appear in the eyes of others. Biblical repentance always results in a change of direction, attitude, choices or way of life. However, such changes may not always be readily apparent to others.

There is not a period, or a time limit, or duration, or an expiration date on either the change of mind or the result of that change of mind. Often, years may be spent reflecting or living in a way that seems against God’s Word

World Prayr has chosen to be different, starting with teaching others that the pilgrimage all those who have been brought near to God are on is not one about our focusing on what we are doing, or focusing on our sin or anything we are not doing, but focusing on what Christ did in order for us to know transforming grace. We refer to this message as the gospel of grace. We then live this out as a ministry by serving others through counseling, prayer, and sound biblical teachings.

We also differ from most ministries in another key area, working to live out the message of Philippians 2:4 by aggressively promoting other ministries and churches. As a mission team, World Prayr is working to serve those who are disconnected to reconnect them, one soul at a time, to local bodies of believers.

We refer to our team as an “Ohana” made up of many nationalities spread across the globe and within the Protestant faith.
