Where did it start?

Where did it start?

By Lisa Buffaloe

When did you stop living?
Where did the fire grow cold?
How did the passion die?

Disappointment, heartache, loss, tragedy, and trials take their toll. Sometimes it all seems too much, too much pain and sorrow, and the heart withers and crawls behind the rib-cage of a wounded soul.

When did your heart start to hide? When did it all become too much to move forward? Where is your stuck place, your stopping point? Do you know?

My walking wounded friend, I want you to know your heart can be soothed in the comforting love of God. I want you to remember your Heavenly Father loves you and cares for you.

I want you to know God will never forsake you even when it seems all have forsaken you.

I need you to know in a world full of trouble, life can be overcome with the One who is The Overcomer.

You need the gentle touch of grace.

In your loss, you need to know your loved one is safe in God’s arms.
In your need, you need to know God provides in amazing ways.
In your weakness, you need to know God’s strength remains.

Please talk to God. Please ask Him to reveal the lies the enemy has planted in your wounds. Please ask God to show you His truth.

Where did it start? Go back with God, go back with His truth. For in the truth of God, a stopping place becomes the start of restoration, healing, renewal, and a new life.

Would you be willing to pray with me?

Heavenly Father, show me where the enemy has planted lies in my wounds. Reveal the evil ways the enemy has twisted what happened to me and my loved ones. Show me the truth of the situation and the truth of what You do with every situation. Show me the good. Show me the next steps. Show me how to move forward. Shower me with Your healing, restoring grace. Shower me with Your life that brings life. Restart and unwither my withered heart and restore me with Your unfailing love.

Where does your help come from? Your help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. He heals the brokenhearted and saves those whose spirits have been crushed. Every one of your tears He gently places in His bottle. God’s compassions never fail. You are safe and sheltered in God’s unfailing love. He loves you with an everlasting love. Every day in Christ, a new beginning has begun. And one day when you are safe in God’s arms in heaven, He will wipe away every tear and there will be no more mourning or sorrow or pain. ~ Psalm 121:1-2, Psalm 147:3, Psalm 34:18, Psalm 56:8, Lamentations 3:22-23, Psalm 36:5-7, Jeremiah 31:3, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Revelation 21:4
